Tom takes on new and exciting role.
Yorkshire Cricket are delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Craddock as the new full time High-Performance Coach for the County Age Group pathway and the Development squad.
Tom is a former county player with Yorkshire and Essex and a Level 3 Coach, and brings a wealth of experience. He is the current coach of the boys U14A squad and has worked with Leeds Beckett MCCU squads.
The role of High-Performance Coach is a new and exciting one, which will see Tom coach on the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Academy, Performance Pathway, County Age Group (CAG) & Development Pathways. He will be assisting with selection, induction, coaching, monitoring and reporting of players.
He will be the Lead Coach to the Development team and the Yorkshire Womens’s County team in their T20 competitions.
Speaking about Tom's appointment, Jim Love, Yorkshire County Age Group Performance Manager, said: "I am delighted that we have managed to obtain the services of Tom. This is an exciting new role that has been created to assist County Age Group cricketers through to the Yorkshire Academy. Tom will work across all age groups, including Women and Girls, and also help with the mentoring of coaches and managers. We’re looking forward to working alongside Tom, who will be instrumental in ensuring the young cricketers of Yorkshire have the best possible opportunities to develop their game."
On his role with the Women’s County team, Jane Hildreth, Yorkshire Women's County 1st Team Manager, said: "We are excited to have Tom working with the squad in 2020. As the structure of Women’s cricket at the performance level changes, it is fantastic to have a coach of Tom’s experience joining the team. The squad start their preseason training in January with the first games of the T20 competition played on 8th May in Essex."
