The Yorkshire girls U13 development team secured two wins out of three games over the last week with wins against Cheshire and Cumbria.
The Cheshire game was played at Treeton CC and resulted in a tense finish with the girls sneaking over the line in a gutsy batting performance by 1 wicket. Joanne Harrington scoring 21 and Holly Cooper keeping calm to make 22 not out to reach the target of 135 to secure the points. Joanne featured well with the ball also, taking 3-15.
The other win was against Cumbria at Clifton Alliance where the girls bowled out the opposition for 37 with Poppy Moss (see pic) claiming the match ball with 6-12 (5 bowled and 1 LBW) and Anna Broadley-Featherstone taking 3-9. Beth Slater smashing a quick fire 17 (4 fours) in a 7 wicket win.
The defeat came at Sessay CC against a strong Northumberland side.
