Yorkshire U15 Development vs Yorkshire Cricket College, held at New Rover CC on Tuesday 19th June 2018.
Yorkshire Cricket College 318-7 beat Yorkshire 251-9 (Sam Elstone 48, Jacob Slator 34, Nathan Kenworthy 27) by 67 runs.
In a pink ball game at New Rover, the Yorkshire Cricket College team batted first and, with a mixture of good shots and a fast outfield, got off to a good start. J Rogers (47), J Wild (42), Kieran Collins (101) and C Page (44*) all contributed to an eventual score of 318 for 7 wickets. Muhammed Hasaan Shakoor, on debut, took 1-46 from 10 as Liam Blacker Meek took 2-59 and Gavin Whipp 2-60 for Yorkshire.
In reply, the Development team made 251-9, Ben Collinson retiring hurt. Contributions from Jacob Slator (34), Sam Elstone (48) and Nathan Kenworthy (27) kept the team in the hunt until the latter stages of the game, before wickets fell and the College team took full control to claim the win.
Credit to both sides for the spirit shown and also to the staff at New Rover - an excellent ground and facility backed up by fantastic hospitality.
