County Champions again!.
Yorkshire girls u13s have been crowned County Champions for 2015. The age group have now won the Championship three years running and have been unbeaten in 39 games.
Having beaten Hampshire in the semi finals by 5 wickets they played Essex in the Final.
Yorkshire elected to bowl first and bowled Essex out in the 27th over restricting them to just 76 runs. There was economical bowling from all the Yorkshire bowlers with Rachel Slater 3 wickets for 14 runs from 7 overs, Fenella Hibbert 2 wickets for 22 from 7 overs and Amy Jobling 2 wickets for 8 from 5 overs.
The Yorkshire batters made a quick start to chasing down the target and scored 79 for the loss of just 2 wickets in 20.1 overs. Leah Dobson 18 Fran Goldthorp 26* and Poppy Scholefield 12* . The finals were played at Denby CC Derbyshire.
