Club Scorer leading to Level 1 accreditation:
This course will show candidates how to score in an scorebook as well as covering the laws of cricket including umpire signals. It is the educational day which candidates need to attend in order to start their journey on the scoring pathway and gain an accreditation in scoring (Level 1).

Electronic Scoring (laptop):
This course covers everything you need to know to score a game of cricket using PCS Pro (windows based laptop). It will cover downloading fixture from play cricket, entering teams, editing teams, editing player profiles, scoring a match, uploading to play cricket, editing mistakes, wagon wheels, connection to social media and scoreboards and finalising results. It will not cover the basic laws of scoring and will not refer to any paper based scoring methods.

Duckworth Lewis Stern (DLS):
This module will expose candidates to this makings of DLS. Candidates will learn how to calculate DLS manually, under different situations, electronically through PCS Pro as well as using the stand alone ICC calculator. Candidates should bring a laptop with them. This session will not teach them the laws of cricket or how to score but will discuss the application of DLS within a match.

Linear Scoring:
This module will expose candidates to a different paper based scoring method which requires less entries than the traditional score book. It is usually used alongside an electronic scoring method as a back-up. Candidates will learn how to score using this system. This session will not teach them the laws of cricket and should only be recommended to competent and experienced scorers.

Some leagues would like to offer training (non-ECB accredited) for their scorers. If you are connected to the hosting league, please book a place using the links below.
Roadshow: 1 day training which will cover book as a back up, laws of cricket and electronic scoring. Candidates will be able to choose either to learn PCS Pro (laptop) or Play Cricket Scorer app (phone/tablet). 10am – 3pm.
